Karie McNeley is a mid-twenties poet, artist, and student from Lakewood, CA. Her poetry has been published in several small-press zines both in the US and the UK, including Carnival, Crack the Spine, PEARL, and Tears in the Fence. She is a managing editor for Bank-Heavy Press, a small-press publishing group founded in 2011 and located in Long Beach, CA. Her first chapbook, Sugar-Rushed, was released in August 2012 by Bank-Heavy Press. She hopes that one day poets and cats will rule the world side by side, that pizza will be the most desired currency, and that the language of the land will be bubble-speak.
